congrats man
congrats!
u got any tips on the process? i just got the oa, and im nervous lol
oh don't ask me. I fucking bombed the oa ๐
fully solved the easy problem. and coded up a dp solution for the other, but turns out 1/3 dp transitions was totally wrong and it would've failed most test cases (conveniently none of the ones that I tested lol)
My final interview is coming. Got any tips to suggest?
Did you solve all onsites perfectly? Meaning, optimal for all?
not really, the problems varied a lot and interviewers were either very helpful or not at all. just gotta have good foundations I guess
optimal for all. stumbled for one problem cuz I thought you could do backtracking but apparently you can't
so I ended up saying "I think you might be able to do backtracking but idk how" and left it at that
but turns out my sol was optimal, so yeah I guess you can say I solved all optimally + correct complexity analysis
How many questions did they ask per interview? Will google tagged questions on leetcode help?
didn't check lc before interview and didn't look the questions up afterward, either
and one question with follow-ups
Goated
@gilded thistle were they all mediums?
@gilded thistle Casually a LC god
uhh not sure
honestly they were all bfs/dfs/heap problems
nothing too ds&a involved
but reducing the problem down to something that worked was the challenge
also one of the interviewer threw in some distributed systems and multithread questions for good measure
was pretty fun
nah a lot of the follow-ups, especially the hardest ones, felt more like a conversation
where i'm bouncing ideas off the interviewer and they're nudging me in the right direction
not follow-ups like "HEY here's an extra half a problem, good luck changing your code!"
many of the follow-ups were just talk-through-it style, not coding

I have a few hundred done across different platforms so my lc number isn't very representative
oh...
๐
definitely topped 1k across different platforms now. but that's from like
since oct 2015
200 problems a year? that's not too crazy. less than a problem a day
(someone tell me i'm not crazy pls)
Iโm sorry but U are officially crazy
๐ญ
congrats! did you have any deadlines?
i have a paper due tmrw bro
long story short, told recruiter I had pending offers with a flexible deadline, but wanted to expedite as much as possible
