#Interviews?

i'm in the process for the data sciene role, so the interviews are different - do you still wanna know?
@worldly stag sure! i didn’t have an HR call because i was referred, but that apparently consists of a couple of SQL questions and a question about metrics to improve the fb newsfeed
i then had a 1hr interview split into two parts - the first was product sense, where i was supposed to analyze and decide metrics to find out whether a seller is legitimate on fb marketplace
the second half was 2 SQL queries - i did both, so the interviewer gave me a bonus one which i did half of. had to use joins and cte but nothing too complex
the final, apparently, is 4 interviews - sql, product sense, A/B testing, and stats
Is there a way to prepare for this style of an interview? I'm currently doing leetcode and system design, but have yet to come across such an interview
well, product sense is very similar to product management interview questions
so if you go to product management exercises dot com and look up some questions under the fb tag, you’ll get a fair idea
so if a question asks me how id measure the success of facebook‘s save feature , i’d start by talking about why it exists and how it’s used, and then follow up with metrics like no of people who save posts and then revisit, no of people who frequently open the saved tab after saving posts, etc and then elaborate on them
it’s a skill that improves with the more questions you answer, honestly
