#How long did it take to hear back after the manager chat?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
5 business days
it went okay, I struggled a bit on the integration because I misread the requirement
you misread it and they didn't correct u early?
yeah, i stated it that and went ahead with the impl but i guess he didn't catch it
it wasn't a big deal tho since it was an extension to the problem so it was easy to take out
how long did it take to hear after onsite?
@spiral agate Did you have any deadlines?
onsite -> EM was 2 business days
yep, i had one on oct 15
Why do all offers expire on October 15th lol
good question lol, my stripe deadline is also oct 15
@spiral agate Did your recruiter send you an email like this?
Hi Natalia,
Thank you so much for taking the time to interview with the team. Now that you've completed all of your interviews, I would love to hop on a call to discuss how it went and walk you through next steps. Please find time on my calendar here.
Best,
"next steps". there aren't really next steps for a rejection lol
Yup, looks like an offer to me. Grats!
@spiral agate how many parts did you finish on the integration round?
2 parts
do you know if there are more parts to the question?
no, there were only 2 parts
gotchu thanks!
@spiral agate out of curiosity, did your recruiter tell you what stripe's official WFH policy is? i think i will be getting an offer for the seattle office but am wondering if stripe is ok with / supportive of folks working from home (aka another location in the US) indefinitely
also, since you're here, lcfyi––have you accepted the offer?
i haven't asked about any official policy but my recruiter and interviewers made it sound like they're super open to remote work, especially since some of my interviewers were permanent WFHers
nope not yet, i'm still deciding between my options but i'm leaning toward accepting stripe
a little bit, but i wouldn't mind it if i'm working on something interesting. the team matching process seems promising in that regard
i've read on blind reports that setting boundaries early on can be helpful
how many hours would you be expecting to work then
the team matching process seems promising in that regard
how so?
according to my interviewer, they've always been able to match candidates with their top team preferences
but they send you a team survey prior to your start date where you can list your preferences and choice of tech, which they'll try to match you with
ideally i'd be at around 40, but with a cap of 50-60. it's hard to quantify though
oh that's dope
i see. was just curious

@spiral agate any tips for manager round or questions I should prepare answers for beforehand?
It was pretty standard behavioural stuff for me (how you navigate problems, explain how you approached something, etc) but with a focus on stuff on my resume
@spiral agate just curious, what were ur "scores" like on each of the rounds?
like coding x/2, bug squash x/4, integration x/5
(if those were actually the nums of each interviews problems)
coding 2/2, bug squash 1/?, integration 2/2
