I applied in 2018, made it to the final round, but had no luck. Tried again last year with some more internship and research experience under my belt as a graduate student. Did well in the final this time around. To answer your question regarding my resume, the first time I had part-time swe jobs, startup I worked on, TA positions, and projects on my resume. The second time around, I had new 3 internships + research + projects.
