Yeah some guy on team blind made me cry fr
He said he left his entire family and relationship to prepare for google
as in if you dont pass team matching you can just get rejected?
and after 5 years in preparation he got accepted but no team match
well you dont get an offer
so its a rejection yes
mans prob turned down offers for it too
He resigned from Microsoft to prepare
dumbest shit I have read
ended with nothing
no family
no relationship
no job
no life
i mean he can find something since he has MS
it depends how long the break he took is
although completely neglecting your family to prepare for google is a you problem
Link?
is there a way to see history ?
All I found was this screenshot I took
of one of the comments
cant find the post
wait no thats a different post
anyways team matching is dumb shit
why hire more people than you need
giving people false hope
they ghosted me
wasn't the JS reject speedrun like 1hr
salesforce does team matching
they probably dont over hire tho
It's not really over hire
I have went into team matching where the positions are 1:1 to the teams
They just do what the fuck they want
I mean: onversion interviews, 6 month processes, lowball, downlevel
They don't give a fuck about candidates lol
they barely care about employees lol
They are running on prestige and massive margin
there was that one post on hacker news where a dude was like "i've been an engineer at google for 10 years and my skills have stagnated"
at least its not as bad as amazon.
they only give you bananas
it seems like there's lot of people at G just doing fuck all and making bank lmao
unironically, if you want to learn, amazon will make you learn a shitload
in a very short span of time
DataBricks, Cloudflare, Snowflake all seems cool to me
But as a new grad pretty much every big tech is good
Some are better than others but it's team dependent
You can apply next year with more experience
yeah the first company you start with isnt the be all end all
No problem in the long run
I prefer focusing on learning and development in my first 5 years
After WLB and secure stocks
Kids in this server don't have wlb even in college, no need to fool oneself lol. Sleep deprivation, leetcoding during college holidays and applying to jobs one second after they are out
lol i spent my summer internship chilling outside work and completely forgot leetcode existed
