last year is completely different from this year. last year team matching happened after passing interviews. this year it happens before interviews. idt there is any "waitlist" like last year. i think they might send these emails out if the original team got filled. but thats just my guess

because a team will have an hc of like 1-2 or still interview like 4-5 people maybe more

so you can pass their tech bar but still be on a waitlist as they evaluate candidates or see if one renegs or accepts
