thas lowk straight up lyin
thast like going to ut arlington and calling it ut austin
cus its like UT A
yeah but most portals ask u to like put university in their own shi
if u put uw there
then ur cooked
ngl in theroy
u could just like
put ur actual school on workday or wahtever
then on ur resume show uw
since most recruiters look at ur resume
and bg checks will be based off whats on workday
My question is regarding content of resume any feedback on this
Should lead with education before skills, imo recruiters trust a college name more than skills you claim to have
remove the quarters you got Dean’s list- since it shows you didn’t get deans list the other quarters 😭
Associates is fine, but if you have experience in a club or workplace I think that adds more value (something like freelance website work, tech support, tutor, etc.) as UW Bothell CS already overshadows n AS in CS
try leading with metrics as early in the bullets as possible, and ordering bullets with the best match to where you’re applying.
As an example I would change last bullet of VaxTranslate to start with “improved translation accuracy by 90% through integration of RESTful APIs…” and move it to be the 2nd bullet for backend/Full stack SWE roles.
You def can do this for many other bullets you have!
I see integrated for a bullet and integrate for another. Make sure to keep consistent tense between bullets of the same experience
consider using AI to put into Jake’s resume template in latex, and also consider cutting off soft skills (unless you’re looking for less technical roles) and trimming technical skills.
Overall I can tell that this resume has gone through a few iterations, and honestly experience itself matters more than how it’s presented. If you could get any kind of experience with high responsibility whether startup work, research, or freelance, you’ll be set.
For getting interviews I highly recommend cold emailing startups, attending all campus/career events (can find on Handshake), and delaying your graduation if possible it’s okay to go over a few credits.
Keep your head held high and know that it’s never too late for anything! Best of luck!
woah what a fattie message MY BAD LOL
I have experience of math tutor do you think adding this experience worth it?
need consistency in your dates, once you spelt out march others are abreviated
also you skills section takes up too much space imo and i would also remove the hyper link for uw student marketplace
also the education has the same dating inconsistency
Hyper link is actual deployed project
Can you suggest me ats checker if know any
And some where in resume I have to place project link
it shows you’ve worked at a workplace before so it could be worth. I’d put it below projects in an Experience section if you do add it
Here is revised version of resume based on some feedback any other suggestions that I implement to improve my resume
