wdym by “hardware”, skill is mostly used in pcb layout, and is mostly irrelevant to chip design or embedded swe
would really not recommend going the pcb route, the pay is capped much much lower (roughly 50-70% of chip design or swe at big tech companies)
skill scripting is also probably the most “not safe from ai” pcb role as well
i want to transition to chip design/verification.
and ig this internship wouldnt matter too much for that
since none of the options are rly related
c++/python are more transferable
than skill
by a lot
alr
i would probably lean python
yeah my workday hm said they primarily use python and c++ for their internal tools
ill prolly lean towrds that then
for verification especially python scripting is good
since you need to parse large reports
try to get a research position
I thought u were saying workday was also a rivian spinout and all the other things
mb
So also is ebikes?
ye
its lowkey p cool work and p cool people
only thing im worried about is res value
hpe acquried juniper
Rly?
If it was me I'd go with ALSO
I thought workday had some weird custom language that sucks
idt that many ppl know it
workday prolly better for like big tech
just cuz name recognition
could poll tho
thats for software application, sde uses python c++ and SQL
or atleast my team does
Would there be a way to indicate it's a rivian spinout on resume
For ALSO
Cause if u can then there's a name difference
i could say a rivian company, but that usually indicates a subsidiary
which ALSO isnt
if you work at workday then make the app less shit please
if the pcb stuff is in cadence's weird programming language it really isn't applicable to anything else 😭
but yeah c++ >> then everything else
but if you want to go through the embedded route at places like zoox, tesla, waymo, etc could see ALSO being a great option
internship
