#Cloudflare PM Intern vs Amazon SDE Intern (AWS Core networking team)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Sounds like u need to choose between swe and pm first
^this
Aws swe to pm is much more feasible tho
I think personally I’d go with PM. If you’re passionate about it why would you wanna go back to swe anyway?
But wizzy is right on both his comments
the only thing that im debating is that its easier to branch out to more positions from swe than from pm, and also maybe salary differences. swe pays a bit more but it again depends on the company. I think me working as a pm would have more impact on a larger scale than swe.
Just keep in mind there r less pm new grad positions available so it u rly want that go cloudflare
But recruiting ng pm or swe with aws is viable
AWS
I think it comes down to how confident you are or how much you wanna risk it. I think having a dedicated PM role at cloud flare probably appeals more to unicorn PM roles. And being confident in your ability to deliver impact as a PM speaks to how successful you’ll be in PM roles in general, so I think the salary isn’t that relevant. If you’re good at it you’ll go far compensation wise
Alternatively Amazon SDE will set you up for both SWE and PM roles, but like I said it’s probably less of a positive signal than cloudflare for PM alone
In essence if you’re willing to risk it and you’re all in on PM then go with cloudflare. If not then go with Amazon
When you choose PM the SWE gate closes keep that in mind
And PM has lower HC
And less growth
I had similar thoughts and decided to go swe route for issues mentioned above
Cloudflare PM has coding too but Amazon would be better future prospects
@serene raft can you mention how long Cloudflare took from final interview to offer?
@serene raft what’s ur intern hourly offer for CF
Why did you reply to me for this lol I never said anything about AI
Cloudflare since you want to go PM anyways
and Cloudflare PMs code more than most other PM roles in the industry
Similar Starting TC
took about 2 weeks
45/hr in austin
yeah same lmao.
from what my recruiter said, platform was very interested so im assuming thats the team im a part of
Yeah
so im assuming im gonna be more developer centric
You sure abt going CF over Zon?
