Does same logic apply jpmc and Amazon
if you can push one of the other offers to fall do so, but iirc you cant unless specific schools
like jpm or c1
yes so
just do google
c1 does for some schools
umd, uiuc
Just google summer
google can do fall, it all just depends on the host. So talk to your host and see what can be done
i had jpmc summer, thought about doing jpmc summer + google fall but decided to just sign google summer & renege jpmc
would like to start FT asap
c1 summer, google fall, and ur set
just do Google
prob not. and even if u didnt get RO, which im sure you will since you got offers from all 3, with g you can easily get others
like summer right
i see
yes
worst case scenario you dont get g RO, you can just go c1 full time and apply to other big tech while you're there with g on resume
win win
LO
bro
only do c1 or jpm if there is some other benefit to doing it
like higher salary, family, or something
but there isnt here
so just go google and get somethign else fall
like google summer will be a much better experience
google summer has 6️⃣7️⃣ votes btw
assuming it doenst mess w grad
should be a sign
yes if it was a company equivalent or even some other big tech it would be viable
hmmm
yeah then do c1 google
ru interning at google now?
ah
yeah c1 google
google by itself, surprisingly, also doesnt get many callbacks
i know many who have had terrible ng recruiting seasons with only one google
yeah
yes but
ideally your resume is optimized for good recruiting if u need it
what team is google?
ROI prob below 0 once u get to like 5 internships
only do c1 if you need short-term money
c1 hourly rate for interns is higher than google's 💀
google skimping
i mean id keep doing internships until i already have 5
prob too many
liek 4 ye
yeah
if your host feedback is good, and there is headcount in your PA, you get an offer and do PA matching
if feedback good but no headcount, you get dropped into FT team matching
fuck no
c1 would be a better outcome
RO chance is good for this tbh
gcloud hires a lot
gcloud and youtube, might get a lower end salary but u want to coast anyways
"lower end" for google is still like 170k
return intern RO or ft RO at google is both valid id say
if u dont wanna do ft tm
u can just ask to be an intern again
i remmeber seeing this guy on linkedin who was like a 5x google intern
i would do c1 google and then recruit ng, but would go for google ro
still need to recruit
just to see if theres something better
wouldnt be able to live with myself if i didnt do it
stuff like db
or u can go to frontier ai labs
or if some startup tryna pay u like 2x, 3x
db and stripe are generally considered >= google and are attainable with google prev fs
stripe is def expanding
i think thats a really good unicorn option
plans arent finalized yet for me
cracked !
got a nice proc yesterday that id take
isn't Google offer package standardized across all pa's
i dont think so
had a friend who got incredibly lowballed bc he had no competing offers
it was like 160k
googlers discord & offer sharing channel says its standardized, only based on location & negotiation
i see
maybe the friend was lying
it was probably the base rate before any negotiation
standard bay area ng offer w/o negotation:
This is correct
FY tc should be around 240 ish
158 + 158*.15 + 38 + 15 + 11 = 245.7
can negotiate up to 290-300k (more rsu) with competing offer I believe
I think that’s just ng in general
I doubt adding c1 meaningfully changes anything
yeah most likely
yeah i think if it was any big tech it would move the needle
but it might be better in case google goes south for him
I don't get this ngl. Even if (worst case) it doesn't provide resume val, you're still making so much just doing the internship. I really dont get why you would want to skip out on C1 just because it "doesn't provide res value" which I personally doubt"
I also dont get where this statistic of having less return offer percentage for working Google in fall? Where is this even coming from??
Cuz I’d imagine that they prefer that you’ve finished a google internship rather than barely having started it
and also being able to focus on recruiting instead of juggling it with an internship
headcount is allocated once a year, fall interns get whatever's left after summer interns are done
c1 mog
ok i see your point, interns in summer would have been graded on their performance first therefore giving earlier access for hosts in terms of ng recruiting
so in that case u think google summer > google fall over here
really, u dont think c1 + google will help? ik u were prev c1 and now inc optiver
Prev Google, C1 will not help over Google
