Yeah but note Canadian citizenship isn't guaranteed, you might not get drawn do some research into express entry to see what ur realstic timeline is.

The older you get the harder it will be you lose 5 points each year once you are 30

Sounds like Google is better here. You should really try to leverage it to ask for NYC Stripe or at least increase your package at Stripe, or explicitly ask them for more support in sponsorship. For what it's worth, I do have a friend who is international (based out of Singapore) who started at Stripe in STL two years ago, and apparently he is no longer insecure about his work or citizenship status @whole marsh
