AMC Movie Theatres and distribution has software engineering roles right now. They are launching their visa credit card + AMC streaming + AMC mobile apps. They had loads of hedge funds investing into them during the Covid-19 pandemic years.
I think people could also propose new software to help their business grow and they would have money since they had so much investors and retail shareholders that their shares went up to $400/share during the pandemic and all that money is waiting to be used to reinvest in the company, etc.
