not really because they have to send your packet to hiring committee regardless. Don't forget they also have other candidiates, so that means your not their priority to them at the moment

Ahhh so the packet gets sent to the hc regardless? I thought the rec sends it to hc. And I was thinking why would the rec do that if they think there’s no way it would pass hc.

That’s not true, recruiters are supposed to take time to assemble your packet. Ask for resume, transcripts, etc…. Then send it hiring committee. Your recruiter isn’t an engineer so he doesn’t have the right to judge candidates based on your interview performance via coding. So recruiters must send it to HC regardless. It’s the HC who judges you whether you move on or not
