I am looking for full time offers within SWE. I'm fine with working in almost any industry (I originally wanted to do quant SWE, but I have not been locked in enough so I sort of gave up on that dream), I hope to land a job in New York, California, Washington, Texas, or Michigan but I am open to any location. I haven't had much guidance on my resume before. I used AI to for my bullet points, any advice is greatly appreciated. During my time at college I've only had one (unpaid) internship at this small startup where I learned a lot about development through AWS. My other experiences are comprised of my clubs here at UMich and my family's restaurant. I have gotten maybe 2 OAs out of maybe 50 applications? I understand I should really apply to more I've been procrastinating a lot... But im locked in now!

- so right off the bat, the bullet points have too much information. its too congested to the eyes so id try to make your spacing better and/or shorten your sentences of your bullet points.
- you probably don't need the discussion leader experience since its not really tech related, or related to the job you're searching for
i'm sure others have more helpful things to say about your actual bullet points, but i just got a lot of feedback on mine so im not the best person to give advice on that. hope this helps a bit!
hmmm I got you, with my lack of experience do you think it would be more helpful to elaborate more on the experience that I do have or rather add more project experience? As for the bullet points, I've been told to fill my resume with as much information to minimize whitespace? But that person was a business major so I'll make my text larger
A lesson I’ve learned is that anyone outside of the cs space does not know how to make a cs resume. With lack of experience, it’s probably best to just make sure you have all of your impactful work listed in a nice and clean manner.
Also, id look at resumes in this server as well, they are a huge help on how to get that sweaty cs resume
yeah i've been taking a look at the other resumes on this discussion, you're right a lot of them aren't as cramped as mine, thanks for the help!
no problem. glad to help!
@novel shoal
if you want actionable advice on whitespace, spacing and margins you should read this.

but i agree, I think if you remove one of these experiences to make some space and make it easier to read it'll be better, and then depending on where you're applying you swap in different experiences
the actual bullet points look fine to me, but I'm only good enough to spot basic errors, not subtle ones.
gotcha, thanks. Let me take a look at this thread rq
