For this specific scenario, I do have a friend who got a reachout from one of the elon companies but told them it wasn’t his work term - they interviewed him for his work term when the time came. However elon companies really like waterloo people and also hire year round pretty consistently because they treat interns like cheap contract labor. I have no idea if this would map to a company like microsoft really
