show lots of interest in project, be chill
Interviewed for the first call after 1 1/2 month of recieving the email that I'm in project matching process (rejected after 1 month after the interview) and have the 2nd interview a month later (2 1/2 months after recieving the email that I'm in project matching process)
holy shit man this process is so long
just got into team match last week hopefully something works out
good luck with the gcloud interview, i believe in you 🙏
How are some ways to show interest? My first interview, he just told me to introduce myself, introduced himself and told me a little bit about the team and intern project in the summer and then asked me if i had any questions and i asked him about specific technical problem the intern dashboard aims to solve, whether the dashboard will mainly use existing APIs or require new infrastructure, languages/frameworks used for backend nodes (Java/Kotlin vs. Go), resources to study Keychain and Google’s encryption approach (none publicly available), what a successful internship looks like (deliverable dashboard), how the team balances maintenance work with innovation, and how the team tests multi‑device key sync edge cases.
for my call, i asked a lot of questions about the project to understand what the project specifically was, e.g. what problems does this project solve, is this for reducing tech debt or improving performance, tell me more about tech stack
Another person told me to ask about the cross team collaboration, funding the team is recieving, etc. Are these also good questions to ask?
tf is cross team collaboration supposed to do
Also it was just weird that we only chatted for 5 minutes and then the floor was for me to ask questions. Is this also how your interview went?
yeah basically
