at least they didn't ask leetcode
got rejected after first technical phone screen. was able to solve the problem and tried to answer my followups
not ng
for experienced ire
i had a few years of experience
and partly luck
post grad
What kind of question did they ask? @random imp
i needed to build a system for processing some file data. There was some starter code in the codesignal, but you need to use additional libraries. NO AI allowed in this round. You can't even use the "AI overview" in the google search. you have to google search the usual way
followups were along "how can the code be improved?", "is your code CPU or I/O intensive? What would you do if you were building this in a production system?"
no LLM for this round
you have to use your brain and the usual google search. you're sharing your screen throughout the session
interviewers were mainly watching and taking notes. not as collaborative as I thought
my question didn't seem to be one that was popularly asked
I have my round next week, the first tech phone screen, can you give me some pointers on what to avoid and what to look out for in the interview? @random imp
you should know concurrency well and also try to move fast
