Focused entirely on resume value for big tech SWE / ML / quant dev. Last summer was at Intel mostly writing Python for GPU HW/SW integration. Have 2 summers after this assuming I do my Master's (90% likely).
AMD:
- CPU Performance Specialist Intern, will work on CPU bottlenecks with C++ and also some data wrangling with Python.
- Very low level computer architecture and OS level stuff.
- Austin, went once for a day it was pretty nice.
- 42/hr + 5k stipend
- Pretty high tier company, better than Intel I've heard.
Onepay:
- Series A startup, Walmart-backed, trying to be the finance everything app.
- Very new intern program (2nd cohort) and would be doing a bunch of things, mostly within the Typescript and data engineering realm though.
- NYC not too big a factor for me, I grew up there, but would be free staying with parents.
- 29/hr, no stipend
- Not many have heard of it yet but it would be cool to get some fintech experience.
Keep Recruiting:
Have interviews for NVIDIA as a System Analyst Intern (unsure what that is??), Swe @ Cisco and backend @ Codal. idk much more than those basic details though. Wondering if still worth doing them.
