im not too sure but last year when i was applying for intern i saw SDE I and intern apps fire off around february

i think last year they had 2 batches

not sure abt this year tho i reached out to a friend whos dad works at amazon so ill look to see what he says

They overhired last year for both FTs and interns who got RO for this summer

And they are waiting for the seond batch layoffs right now

It doesn't make sense for them to start hiring for NG before knowing the headcount

Even though that sucks you still have an edge as they might fast forward you to interview rounds

At least for interns waitlist last year usually means auto intern offer the next summer or fall

yeah but the email said something abt keeping ur interview prefromance for 6 months or so and its been over that so im not sure if it would stil count

last year they had a NG role for 2024 grads in sep 2024 and then a NG for 2025 grads in jan 2025, yeah this year looks cooked tho, maybe feb 2026 if the fiscal year ticks up again
