at this point if you cant find an internship you need to do hackathons (win) ,game jams (win), TA, research, freelance

its not bad how many applications have you sent out?

For projects, bold metrics you already have the technologies next to it

#

highly recommend research since you have no internships

#

Would remove dates from projects

#

If you want a rating id say probably 3.5/10 with 0 being you have nothing and 10 being you have jane street, citadel, etc. on it

#

for people with no internships i would say this is 6/10, mainly outclassed by people with research

#

with resesrch on this resume i think you can probably bag a nice lower tier F500 company to start off your career

#

overall looks nice!

#

a bit too dense

#

probably a combination of the lack of spacing between your bullet points and the fact that most of your bullet points are two lines long when only a couple of them should be tbh

#

this makes people not want to read through it

#

and don’t bold anything in your bullet points. idk why people do this lol
you don’t really know what the reader is looking for tbh. i mean maybe you do know what they’re kinda looking for if you tailor your bolding to the job posting/description but then you would have to do this for EVERY single job you apply to and only bold the relevant stuff based on the job posting/description
and so if you don’t have enough of that relevant stuff to bold in your resume, then you could end up looking more unqualified for the role 😭

#

like for example, why would you bold Netlify in that first project

#

but then in the second project you only bold Spring Boot and don’t bold Java or PostgreSQL

#

ive looked at a lot of internship postings and more say Java and PostgreSQL than “Netlify”

#

that’s why im saying many of yall don’t really know what you’re doing when bolding some of this stuff

so imo it’s better to be safe than sorry and just not bold anything except for things like section headers, project names, job titles, etc.

also remove dates on projects and for that first experience say “May 2024 - August 2024”. you always wanna do Month Year

don’t use semicolons to separate your coursework. use commas

start of that first bullet with “Developed a full-stack
” and get rid of the collaboration part/details. this makes it a stronger bullet point
