How long is JSIP?
8 weeks
Are you set on entering quant?
Like if you are gonna get guranteed interview, you better pass it ðŸ˜
nah im not rlly confident i can pass quant procs im tryna optimize for big tech / unicorns
JSIP would be a lot of fun i think
Congrats either way
thank you!
ngl if u cant pass quant procs jsip is prolly cooked
if ur optimizing for big tech/unicorns visa is def the best
but if you know you can pass at least some quant procs then jsip prolly the move
if you want to go into big tech / unicorns that's chill, but if your main issue with quant procs is the difficulty, i think most people who study hard for the next 8 months can pass at least some procs
do u think jsip or visa is better for big tech / unicorn recruiting?
not sure, idk how the js name would be affected by the fact that it's an immersion program
on the resume id just have it as like software engineering fellow
cause that’s what js calls them
nah that’s insane larp if u don’t write production code i feel like ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
just larp it doesn't matter i went to js fttp last year and a dude told me he put js trading bootcamp or smthn on resume but it was just a week of fun
he got plenty of qt procs this year recruiters will see js and interview
also if they ask about it in an interview u can just say it was the immersion program
but like at that point u just gotta pass the tech interview since u already passed the screen
Which?

JSIP
wait i had this onsite at JS yday for swe but I also got into JSIP and they told me they want to modify the program this year to make it easier to get return offeres
because "in the past jsip was for freshmen but now sophs are unemployed and coming to jsip so we want to set them u pfor success" blahblahblah and i asked for RO and they said they r making big changes to the prog this year and hoping to make it easier for jsip ppl to get RO
but they said jsip ppl wont sign the IP agreement so u likely cant do the real work the swe interns r doing
i spoke to one of the jsip coordinators that works on the curriculum and he just said they were making the interview prep more robust so that’s probably what they meant by making the conversion between JSIP -> JS better
but i doubt there’s actual return offers
wait lets DM i realized i talked to u b4
@river hill hey did u find out if visa pushes to off season?
