yeah i think your biggest problem is the fact that you are a freshman. the projects look really impressive. i cant tell if you have included a github link since you blurred out the top. but consider adding links to the project repo too for the projects you mention too. Im wondering if recruiters think the resume is TOO good for a freshman and are doubtful of the projects lol

Are you in any clubs on campus? Extracurriculars might help to differentiate you too. and you can also list relevant courses youve taken under education (Data Structures, CS theory courses, high level Math since you wanted to do quant, etc)

also i know you said you’re using an English first name so you dont think recruiters will be confused about sponsorship, but you do go to a foreign university so im not sure if that necessarily helps. in theory they can’t discriminate against you but we really don’t know what metrics a company is using to evaluate just food for thought

besides Faang you’d ideally want to target finance companies and banks with global offices. front office team (this is not necessarily something you have say in but your resume should help u match to these teams. or you internally transfer the following year). i think a lot of banks have offices in singapore or hong kong which is where their “china” team resides, so targeting global company abroad may help you in the long term
