160k USD base + 30k signon + 45k rsu
ye
i am from non waterloo in canada (prob non target) + startup is mid at best
It is very common under TN (idk whats gonna happen to USMCA next year)
200k cad is super high in canadian standards lmao
im also manifesting db ipo so thats also a factor
i see thanks for the input
yeah agree with brian, but only if switch is super feasible
immigration climate is quite bad so if u want to lock in US taking the unicorn may be better
bump
bump
for the ppl voting dbx, do u think it is easy to relocate to US in the future (externally) even if dbx is located in canada?
ye
outside of some rare scenario where the tn visa gets axed or smth when it's up for renegotiation in 2026
thats my only concern bc its easier to land US while working in US
in which case ur prob still better off being in canada than having to leave ur job
you'll be fine with dbx on your resume imo
Even if TN gets renegotiated isn’t it still gonna continue for min 10yrs
oh hm maybe idk too much abt this
I feel like TN getting axed is kinda unlikely though
adding another q, is dbx canada better name than verkada san mateo?
if it gets axed it will continue until like EOY
oh yea definitely, this is like absolute worst case <1% chance scenario
i was just saying like outside of that rare scenario you'll be able to hop somewhere in the us afterwards
Oh huh… I guess that would be pretty bad
