this is crazy i thought i'm ngmi but can't believe i'm making this post ππ
this is my first time breaking into tech, so its not as impressive as faang+ like the other posts... but i'm very happy <3
nimblerx:
- comp: 8k/month x 3 months, relocation, transportation etc
- loc: bay area
- pros: get to do actual work, recruiter and interviewer mentioned high RO rate, seems like a chill company w good vibes,
pre ipo startup so i can get shares if i ft π? - cons: cant think of any rn, except i dont want to be in the bay long term
they're in series D and i feel like either this company will fail, either they'll sell it off to walmart pharmacy or something
jane street immersion program
- comp: 12500 total scholarship, free housing and food, june-aug
- loc: NYC
- pros: jane street prestige, in NYC
- cons: not really a internship and at max can get a interview at jane street, nimble pays 2x more than jsip
in the future i want to do swe in NYC. i'm a soph so i can try to break into big tech next cycle, and I feel like the startup would give me more relevant resume exp. previously i only have more data science-y stuff on my resume and prob failed a lot of resume screenings...
i think i'll take the startup offer but just wanted to make sure i'm not doing the wrong thing by not taking jane st.. this market is so unstable, so i really value the startup's high RO rate. jsip doesn't guarantee anything, maybe just gets your foot in the door for a interview at JS
