#Salesforce APM vs Bloomberg SWE for new grad
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
when ddi salesforce pay sm for apm
I’m pretty shocked too but that’s what the breakdown gets to
Google top?
Idk what google tc is
damn wtf does sf apm get paid more than swe?
ive heard google apm is super good yeah
160 base is crazy
I think the program itself seems pretty cool but idk if it’s worth doing it but then the pay is more than bbg
Probably only worth if you're locked in on doing PM
PM leveling doesn't scale nearly as well as SWE
Probably also research what the exits are for previous APMs
I've seen a lot go into Solutions Eng / FDE which also pay slightly less than SWE long term but are def cool roles
What I’ve heard is that it’s a 2 year rotation program and then you either promote to PM or senior PM based on performance
some people are also directors @ Salesforce at age 27-28 but I’m sure you gotta be cracked for that
Oh wow yeah that’s true but markets definitely shifting for swe now than before tho
i think they're diff roles
Yeah it's a bet on where you think SWE is going, you clearly have decent technical vs soft skills
this is not rlly true high-level pm's make a lot
i know a pm guy who transitioned from swe, he makes over 1m/year now
which co?
its largely true for most big tech
salesforce and google could be outliers no clue
Pms do make alot depending on company I think it’s harder to breakthrough into pm straight from grad since it always requires YOE
if I do take the PM route I’d prolly opt into highly technical teams because I think the non tech PMs aren’t as effective in the industry tbh
yeah I’m curious on company as well this is insane
intuit

wtf damn didn’t expect that
Salesforce pays this much??💀
