#Meta vs Google vs Anduril vs Databricks vs Microsoft

or is it an ro from an internship for full time
tc in 3-4 years if ur a grinder meta would be the highest w their career growth
goddamnðŸ˜
meta loses in exit opps but other 2 areas they win, if u care abt exit opps more than the other 2 combined + opportunity cost of later grad then it's dbx imo
im looking at levels for anduril their comp doesn't seem to scale
nearly as well as meta or dbx
exit opps they're prob quite good for but i don't think it's by a significant enough margin
i think if u want career growth and tc within 3-4 years google isn't that great unless u care abt wlb a lot
but that wasn't mentioned in the initial post
yea work wise im guessing meta is the least interesting
dyk ur team/pillar?
the thing with meta is u can hit e5 in 2-3 years which will be hard to beat from a tc/career growth standpoint
idk abt anduril but dbx is known to promo quite slower + it's only intern
3 is like slightly above median
2 i've seen multiple teammates do
5 means ur fired bro
meta up or out is 4.5 years
from e3->e5
although dont expect 500k, promos always get paid less
but that's the case for every company on this list i believe
is levels accurate for anduril
it seems like they don't scale well after l4
^ 💀
meta and google aren't exactly saints either
dbx is fine ig in that regard
is ro rate for dbx good? ig u also need to account for the risk of no ro
hmm
is it strictly perf based or org hc based?
i would def not do it if it's the latter
what would u be doing for the summer if u don't take dbx intern
yea do that
this is like
the last time you'll get a fr break
before ft ðŸ˜
idt the benefit that dbx would have is worth giving that up
this all assumes ro is even a guarantee tho
o yea ig he wouldn't need to deny those
and u dont end up like ruining ft for just db internship
what do u have signed rn?
or what would u have signed
meta doesn't gaf
yea
by career growth are u referring to internal promos btw or being able to hop somewhere at a high/higher level
yea makes sense, ig it boils down to how bullish u are for dbx and anduril
yea, i feel like for dbx getting over double snowflakes current market cap would be a pretty crazy scenario but high upside for anduril is doable
how much of anduril is equity and r their refreshers good enough to give u more upside?
im seeing this on blind, i feel like it's between dbx and meta if this is actually the case given their initial grant
mainly bc would there even be that much upside left if ur refresher is after 2 years
why isn't meta exit opps good?
not as good compared to dbx and anduril, it's still overall good
what does db and anduril unlock that meta doesnt
nothing specific but it's just the value that it has on ur res, dbx is more highly regarded and anduril is autonomy which they seemed to be interested in
since when is Meta new grad 225 k? R u doing Base + Stock + Bonus + Sign on for year 1?
Genuine question
Wnats the point of adding companies that u don’t have an offer for to a poll
Lol flex
Gets the huzz
Go meta then
probably it checks out if u add perf bonus asw
Which one?
43

Meta
So did you choose meta?
anduril mogs ngl
why not DB intern? isn't RO rate from DB high?
true but if db ro rate is high, is it not worth the risk? i think db has more long term upside because of equity
@random spoke
Both prob really good that it doesn’t matter right?
one of the best takes in this server @unique stag
yea the zon clowning is crazy
maybe once our age group is older it'll be different just like how ibm and cisco used to be considered really good in prev generations
doesn't prev faang solve this then
why would it matter what firm you went to if you already have proven big prev
the average hm 100% knows db lol
maybe not ramp
at the end of the day if you pick ramp or a younger company, you should not be looking to attract 50 year old uncs at FAANG anyways
the trajectory you pick will be completely different
do recruiters even matter later in career
they only matter for our level bc there’re sm ppl applying
im having a hard time imagining a scenario where an ex-ramp kid is interviewing for a company where any technically competent hiring manager would value amazon over ramp
higher u go the more an hm matters
yeah but why does that matter, if you have ramp you have the freedom to not choose those type of environments lol
if in 20 years ai labs plateau in ur head u will prob still view them more highly than the new unicorns in 2045
for them faang is like that
bc its what they grew up with and views of prestige like that dont change easily
