weird spacing
ats doesn't parse this well
useless bullet point
lots of wasted space
i'd just get rid of the vibe code tools in skills
too much bolding, only bold metrics
lots of whitepsace in the right side, wasted space imo
hackathon win can be a project imo, stands out
metrics like this idek how u measured, seems made up
esp for a project
imo it's rly jargon dense
more than half of this bullet point is jargon
design, deployment, cloud-native, platform, react, kotlin, mysql
cloud native, microservice, frontend
kinda need to dig through to understand what the project acc is
what u did should be clear, jargon isn't bad but a bullet point shouldn't only be jargon
maybe look into jake's resume template
agree w cheetah's points
I appreciate you guys
I looked into that. Do you know a way to tailor resumes quickly with that template? It seems to be manual
yep it's manual
or u just find a website that does it for u
which can you recommend
I searched but didn’t really see a great one
I use rezi rn but you can’t import the jake’s template
Also I work a TA job rn at my college for the data structures and algorithms class do you think I should add that
Yes if it’s not the most recent one
I recommend u write it urself, usually if u do it right it comes out more authentic
Not saying u shouldn’t use ai, but most of the writing and drafting of ideas should be u
Alright will do
I just feel like tailoring every single one manually to fit a job description exactly takes time
u don't
i mean some ppl do and a lot of it is larp
but i recommend making one for swe, ds, and ml for whichever of those ur targetting
and if ur doing low latency and web dev work ig two resumes for that
imo u don't need 2 rn
u have like 2 bullets in one here
imo just get rid of unit tests and the rest after that
deployed containerized workloads via Docker on AWS EC2 and monitored with X to ___, maintaining 99% uptime
if u change to jakes a lot of that whitespace will be cut out imo
Alright I appreciate it!
What do you think about referrals do you think they make a difference
unless u have a crazy network or can network rly well the roi for getting referrals isn't worth it
i saw ur in colorstack so maybe through that u can get some tho
Hey @stoic cedar thanks for the advice. I’m redoing my resume in the Jake’s resume template form. There are some parts that have white space but the template doesn’t seem to be 100% customizable
if yk basic latex u can customize it pretty easily
or just as chatgpt to do it
