5r swe ro rate is good iirc
tc much higher at 5r but it's not as good for swe
dont think so
former intern said swe ro is p good
5r
that's p good
?
a lot of companies have around there
that is good for quant lol what
optiver is 70, JS is 80, jump is 70-80, hrt is 90
Databricks
sorry just wanted to throw some of the numbers that are similar tier
thats what it was last year
there was a year where it was like 30
yeah i wouldn't bank on it being 90 then
ive also seen it be super variable
others sound ab right
cit is prolly around 50 too
HRT doesnt have headcount, if ur good they'll hire u
so yeah pretty high varience tbh
this is true for most places tho
like if ur that good ull almost always get ro
i think cit is the one you should really be worried about ro
i heard its like 30-50%
@serene quarry one thing u should realize
is tha quant companeis suck at tech resume screens
how much does 5r pay
wtf? ðŸ˜
why even hire 17 qt interns to only give 3 ros
honestly says more about the program and interview loop
for swe intern yeah it was around here
but very org dependent. some gave like zero ROs ur just cooked there. some were more reasonable
Not a guarantee, ppl r saying the $100B valuation is riding off the AI bubble
my numbers were wrong 6/18
i think
So is almost every tech company brotha
Everyone’s 401k is cooked if it pops
IMO databricks is more reasonably valued than a lotta other tech companies and unicorns that ppl hype up tho
25x ARR?
More than that now
It’s >120b in private markets
If u get in at 100b ur alr up lol
Yea so how is that reasonable
Snowflake is at like 18x ARR no? And Palantir and Figma are public now
Db is about as good as u can get in terms of fundamentals for a company at that stage tho
4B arr 80% gross margins free cash flow positive amazing retention and 50% yoy growth
True but so was Cisco back during the dotcom bubble
And iirc Cisco still hasn’t returned to their peak levels during the dotcom boom
Fair enough there’s some risk
Db is still solid I agree, just shaky imo short term
I highly doubt db will not be at a higher val at some point in the next 5 yrs tho they’ll only do another round at a (significantly) higher val
Esp since they’re fcf positive
Market will have to tank a lot for ppl to be doing tender offers at a much lower valuation
Even in 2022 idt it was that bad
Fair fair
I’m personally a bull tho lol idt there’ll be an AI bubble pop like there was with the internet
Some companies def r pricing in too much tho
Yea there is this side too
A lot of the companies invested rn are just using their massive cash reverses they built up over the years
db glaze 🔥
They have liquidity events
