#Freshman graduating in 3 years

Don’t graduate in 3 unless financial reasons or you have a great RO by the end of those 3 years
You’ll just be a stronger candidate if you give yourself all 4 years
How would I be a better candidate if I spend 4 years vs 3 years
personally would drop the dates on your projects
maybe shoot for some certifications your first year if you have the spare time
stuff like OSCP, OSEP, OSED, CPTS, etc. if you have the money and time
i can also dm with more school-specific details if you want
Which certs should I look into
I would apperciate that
1 more year of internships. If you graduate in 3 you only have room for a freshman internship and then a sophomore internship then a RO. For most people their first big tech internship is junior year.
Nothing wrong with working full time outside of big tech, but if you wanna optimize for that then 4 years lowkey better for most people
sure you could get lucky in new grad recruiting, but its much easier to get an even better internship your junior year and then get an RO there
And then also if you stretch out classes across 4 years, you have more time to work on projects, extracurriculars, job apps
but def keep ur expected graduation for now. Goal should be graduate in 3 if you have a great RO otherwise delay to 4
