i think if you have a top tier big tech

#

you should go chalk

#

optimize for what you want to learn

#

since you also care about enjoying what you're working on

#

i think it makes most sense given that you can come back at any time

still moon
#

Yeah that makes sense, just feels bad since the money difference is pretty big

#

wait its only like ~90k over 4 yrs at the series a valuation

are u masters @still moon? since ur db salary is higher than usual

still moon
#

yeah fr, they have some ex-quants and im wondering how they got them tbh

meager horizon
#

o interesting didn’t realize they universally salary bumped for masters

chalk product is great - used it at a previous internship. I think they have crazy growth potential

Since you aren't interested in AI agent work I'd skip decagon. (Unless you cn get team you are interested in)

Otherwise between Databricks and Chalk, DB def has better name. Take chalk only if you believe in their product + want to maximize upside + are fine with higher risk

I'd try negotiating Chalk's pay a bit more though

why does comp rn matter that much

#

you'll learn a lot more at chalk and have the ability to lateral or uplevel at big tech given your experience
