lmao yea, the RO rate for sentry is pretty high. the only thing that is making me consider c1 is that sentry is in SF, and i'd rather live on east coast
like would it be dumb to take the "worse" option (c1) if they have more options on the east coast

I'd argue that your chances of getting C1 NYC RO are relatively similar to being able to find an NYC NG with Sentry on your resume

Talent density at sentry is way higher, exit opportunities past new grad are much better. It may be temporarily true that C1 is slightly better for new grad purely because of bigger name but long term its much worse than sentry
Plus any newer company is going to value sentry way higher than c1

oddly enough i have exactly these ng offers lol, i was a c1 intern last year too. c1 was great to intern at and i have 8+ procs going this year for ng so name is pretty decent. i managed to land nyc RO for c1 as well, and 80% of the locked in interns who wanted NYC got it too. that being said i'm heading to Sentry rn bc of better TC, cooler work, stronger talent on average, and better atmosphere(no PIP culture, recruiting process felt really personal etc.). feel free to dm with any questions you have

ye i think i've actually heard of someone from harvard with prev c1 ending up at OpenAI
school is such a crazy boost
