I think masters get 60. Bachelors can negotiate to 60 if interview was good or competing offers.

I would try to match it with levels.fyi. I also hear they lowball you with first offer so you almost always have to negotiate up.

Hmm i have heard L59/L60 also depends on team budgets. Azure ai/ml should have higher budget. And can afford to hire L60. Whereas other teams with lesser budget endorse role with L60 but can hire at L59 since they lowball initially cuz they know you will try to negotiate 😂

I think you negotiate with recruiter unless you ask for a L61 bump then I think it requires the HM approval. small negotiations are pretty easy.
