Overall good experience. All interviewers are remote currently. Three Rounds total.
Went really well. The hiring manager gave me his email for follow up question because I was in a rush for the next round.
First round is similar to LLD, but basically just the snapshot question
How many rounds??
They are a storage so it's case by case
They asked a lot of networking knowledge
Second round is with hm, behavioral, casual chat and then one easy one easy-medium lc
Third round, asked a lot of resume and behavioral, for those storage/distributed system related projects
Then one easy-medium lc question, with like three followups
Solved pretty fast.
First round there's also a follow-up for how to optimize
The hiring manager is probably the kindest and most wholesome manager I've ever talked to LOL

GL, what are your prevs like?
Anything from tagged or similar?
Gl dude
Wdym
like previous experience
Nah, but the coding questions are easier than tagged MSFT
T30 Master(a UC) 2 Research Intern, 1 SWE Intern, but these were mostly in ML, I was a embedded guy in undergrad and have tons of experience in that. Besides that some projects in OS/Distributed system which the team was specifically looking for.
Thx
Did they ask about system design?
Nope, the first round interviewer pasted a system design problem but turns out they canceled a lot of requirements and it just became a LLD for coding
I guess for more experienced ppl they will ask Sys Design ofc
I wish bro
so it was about to be high level design, and they said nah lets do LLD instead
Nah I think they have a problem bank or something for system design but not for LLD so they just pasted it in the Hackerrank and say let's code this stuff.
And you know sys design have a lot of things to consider like asynchronous stuff blah blah and it was in that question so my guess is they found it in their bank and pasted there for me to do LLD
Well if they don't do that I would not be able to solve it. Didn't prepare for a single hour.
Oh
Was it like those leetcode questions
Design LRU cache
Design Task Manager
And something like that?
One guy I know did say
They ask LRU cache a lot
And the msft tagged list also has it at the top
Yep similar to those.
For LLD also go check out the awesome LLD GitHub, it's all in there
Yeah didn't get asked any tagged question but LRU is fundamentally a LLD
It's just talk and build
I think MSFT is significantly easier than Zon for every aspect.
Oh is it
I was thinking it’s significantly harder LMAO
Some of my friends had Amazon loop and almost all of them say
Their behavioral prep is the most tiring one
True
Besides how my intern/project goes, just collaboration/challenging/conflict things like that
Preparing for Zon helped me with this LMAO
Mmmm ok ok cause I just prepped and did Amazon like a month ago
They deep dive into projects?
Yep, they actually look at your resume while Amazon certainly does not
Yeah I know bro I recognize your ID from my past threads
Hoping you get the offer asap bruh 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Btw
I can't see the role now
Azure storage, so a backend based role I presume?
Yo @warm token
One question
For behavioral
What if I get asked the same question again
And I don't really have a different answer/story for it
Is it a deal breaker if I tell the same one?
