#Bloomberg vs Microsoft

idk these ones are always more about the city for me than the company
both options are decent I think it's more down to Seattle vs NYC
for me NYC wins there, but your opinion might be diff
In bb u can switch teams every 2 years fwiw
just out of curiousity, is it common practice to recscind offers? unless they did super fucked up or took too long to take the offer, that's super unprofessional i feel like
i'm new to this whole thing so forgive my ignorance
that's turbo fucked up
like they gotta know that doing that hurts their reputation
that's actually crazy
bloomberg sounds more appealing by the second
Where are you hearing this about offers being rescinded
The only case I’ve heard of it is for people who couldn’t get visas or lied about visas
Otherwise they haven’t done it at all from what I can see internally
I’ve heard it’s really easy to switch teams at Bloomberg
yeah lol this is the case 99% of the time when an offer gets "rescinded" but it doesn't really fit the narrative
I'd take all of those with a grain of salt
I know so many people who got fired for not doing work, hr issues, etc
and then posted like they got laid off
wild stuff
tbh both are fine
ur odds won't change
really all the depends for u is
work/location imo
at the end of the day if ur smart you'll get interviews
do u like cities
and are u an introvert/extrovert?
depends in my opinion
then I'd figure out where u can buy a house
personally
congratz on the offers tho and ur future wedding
someone who touches grass T_T
with that logic, I'd just try and go for quant at that point LOL
feel free to dm if u have more questions too
and no worries!
yeah I do, was acc considering Bloomberg for a bit as well
NYC is a really big city, several neighborhoods you can live in to suit your preferences
Any school or school of their choice
You should visit - downsides are having to rely on public transit (could be a pro if you don't like driving), dirty, expensive and small apts, upsides are culture, Broadway, shows music everywhere
I think ti's amount based. Like upto 12000 usd as long as it's relevant to your career
Yeah but probably better than Microsoft without the silent constant layoffs. Ask some friends who live in NYC to get a feel. Some ppl love it others hate it
bb sounds really good then
@teal plover how does your vo look like and any advice?
