I graduate May 2026, I want to land one meaningful internship before i begin applying for new grad roles.
I have applied to around 120 internships so far (for summer 2026), no interviews, only auto OAs (and 1 or 2 non-auto OAs).

Need any tips, since recruitment season is right now, don't want to keep applying if my resume has some MAJOR issues.
Be totally blunt.

btw, I am looking for non web-dev roles (SWE or even embedded/systems engineer internships), even though i technically have done a web dev internship.

maybe you can move your google program up into experience?

#

I feel like you can merge your personal projects and course projects into one section, Don't see a need to keep them separate imo

you can also try to make a github profile readme and pin/star your project there

yea ur right, it’s just a google swe i am being mentored by said that he thinks i should separate it (which i did) even though thats not really the norm i see

maybe u can research stats about like how many ppl applied or were admitted to add stats to that section

#

also helps so that u have a more recent experience to put in ur experiences section

#

take my comments with a grain of salt tho, im no recruiter

#

XD

yea I asked them and they said they would get back to me but I might just try to compute the stats myself (even if not 100p accurate)

Most need you to return to atleast 1 semester post internship

idk maybe if i get internship luckily for summer 2026 then i can full grind new grad jobs instead of having to do more school

#

Then apply as double major with May 2027 or masters with 2027 whichever lets you “lie” as 2027

naive comet
#

yea ur right

#

probably gonna say im double majoring and decide in a bit, ill figure it out

quiet yacht
#

Yep that’s perfect

naive comet
#

yo guys, do u think i should put my projects above my experience? Since I am targetting non web dev internships so I want the more relevant stuff above ?

If you’re going to do that I would combine course and personal projects into just projects, so that your real experiences will still be under a defined experiences header instead of lost in other things

naive comet
#

yea, im gonna do that

having a retail job on there is doing nothing for you

#

replace it with a project
