Don't even bother with behavioral at all for first round except for a couple intros. Think "Why tiktok", "What makes you perfect for this role", "tell me about yourself"

90% of it is passion projects

I really really love research and I'd say i spent an average of 4 hours a day researching new papers in ML ranging from CV to NLP and even a little bit of classic ML (usually for fintech, i had a weird fixiation on working at morgan stanley freshman year 😐 )

I spent tons of time learning pytorch, tensorflow, numpy, self studying tensor calculus, linear algebra, probability, a little bit of measure theory and optimisation. The focus was also never computation. I tried more to understand underlying concepts and theory than formulas.

On top i tried to even my skils out by learned some fullstack swe. I deployed alot of my models on the web, usually with huggingface endpoints served on a nice looking react frontend

Didnt really enjoy it as much as reading papers or looking through the github repos of OpenAI and CompVis but i felt it was necessary to not be useless in the workforce

Wrt leetcode i always enjoyed it a little bit. Did Blind 75 then started working on Tiktok tagged. Then got asked a really easy question and got tripped up in how much i expected a hard/med DP so i was like damn it i need to like crush my fundamentals. Started neetcode roadmap from scratch but only doing med & hard.

Started in high school to learn data structures. I would end up implementing hash table from scratch in c for like 2sum haha

Blind75 was like 40% a breeze, easy/med arrays, sliding windows, 2 ptrs, basic trees

The moment I finished DSA in college I went right to blind 75 and got it done in around 1 month with a couple problems each day. I would do the problems until i ran into one that stumped me and watch neetcodes video. I remember being super scared of DP before trying one and realizing its just discrete math
