if you do fall 2025 school, u might boost gpa a bit for new grad recruitment for ng 2026, but maybe calculate if u would have the gpa for it (if u tried super hard in all ur classes, do u get the gpa u want?). if it does, perhaps take out fall internship so that you can boost your gpa first and mass apply for ng with boosted gpa in winter. you're cutting it pretty close for end of recruitment season if you try to boost gpa winter and apply spring instead.

if you're junior, and if you push grad, would it only be for one sem or one year? if it's only a sem or two then i would advise to strongly reconsider not pushing bc u have pretty nice opportunities!

it really depends on team. I would still go nvidia data center related deep learning arch team comparing to tesla ap, since the skills (CUDA, gpu arch, perf optimization, multi gpu communication etc) you take away from there is still more transferrable to other LLM focused ai startups (oai, anthropics, thinkymachine). You can easily get 400k plus for LLM ai startups after interning at nvidia. Tesla AP definitely has bigger scope and higher visibility. But the fulltime turnover rate for tesla ap is pretty high (recent dojo shutdown due to internal competition). Also less data center scale work since it more focusing on edge inference.

Don't go to Tesla unless you want to work 80+ hours every week. I got an offer for that team, and the manager constantly was making sure I would stay late and work weekends.
