2030 ๐ฅ
software eng is also just cs ee
2030 is crazy

add more metrics (for ur experience especially)
quality > quantity for projects also, that last one gotta go ๐
Yea i was abt to say
uwaterloo tho, experience before even starting, and a lot more coding exp than i had as a rising soph ๐ฅ
youll be chilling
๐ญ
Also include ur gpa (ur a rising freshman so i would say 4.0 lol)
alr
ive heard waterlooworks is getting more mid by the semester, but still an insanely good program
yeah larp an early grad date too
Yea ur resume mogs my freshman resume
2029 or 2028
your resume is like equal to my soph summer resume when i got my first internship
rising freshman, fml man
ok so:
add more metrics for exp
add gpa
lard grad date
remove last proj qual>quant
ye
im cooked bro
not much more to be said now, just some priorities for your freshman year:
- get into a research role or start getting tight w profs asap
- attend hack the north if possible, network tf out of that
- make some friends you can make a large scale project w (something with users with good metrics)
Apply to uberSTAR, google step, microsoft freshmen yr programs
^^
U can prob get it
i got htn
im chilling now, but if i was still a soph seeing this
id crash out
yea lmao
insane start then
when do they open? i thougth thu were closed
hack the north project on there, research exp as a freshman + another internship next summer if you can
also prob not really necessary but id start neetcode 150 but dont stress on that
youll be 1% of rising sophs
starting neetcode early puts u on an early advantage
i already started leetcode
wish i did it earlier
also waterloo's co-op program is the best in the business
is research exp that important
bro this kid
i have one but its more like ee
internships at mid-large companies > research > internship at small company > hackathons > projects
imo
even if reasearch is unrelated to like software?
for mid size companies they can sometimes be worse than super relevant research, its kinda case by case
uh what did you research
i didn;t
if its not related to cs/swe/ai then prob dont put it
i have this reasearch opportunity that is pretty much secured
but yea its not related to anything cs
ah i see
is liek electrical shit
and for that I just harass profs?
if any prof you have as a freshman does research id get in good w them
not doing much research is one of my bigger regrets
youll be generational bro
break big tech by late soph or junior year
i thought research was bummy
1-2 cycles of big tech recruiting during undergrad youll be good
i mean research while doing classes is just free resume material
also a lot of companies really like it, especially if youre going for ai/ml
ok so:
add more metrics for exp
add gpa
lard grad date
remove last proj qual>quant
try to get research positiion during school
network htn
project with a userbase
oh and
uberStar, microsfot first yea thing, and google step
project w userbase is long term goal but yeah, id just focus on getting friends who are down to just make shit w you
thats a really comprehensive list tho
alright thanks kings
last proj hopefully replaced with htn project
