#Methodfi Fall vs school

And it’s in Austin
Unless you desperately need the money it doesn’t seem worth it
And I’m guessing you already have internships so it wouldn’t like make your res incredibly more impressive
Are u passing res screens rn?
I mean you could just chill have good time w friends
It’s the end of ur senior year
Damn 😭
That’s sad mayne
How tf will you have time to recruit then
What does 996 mean
Oh wtf
whats the name of the startup
oh
fade it
what are you optimizing for?
if learning's ur goal idt methodfi talent density is super high
i would 100% fade and do school
and recruit somewhere better, the money you make here will be marginal compared to how much more you could earn with better FT j*b
100%
if this was pylon or equivalent i would say 100% worth
and if u wanna be a founder it'll help you to see what startup culture is like
does ur school not enforce minimum credit semesters lol
they'll work u to the bone 5x days a week
also can u not push fall into spring or summer
i think optimal strategy is go to school, push to spring, recruit for a good full time job. best of all 3 worlds
let them shoot u down first ig, doing spring would let u recruit for better
lmao ur gonna have less fun as a working adult than in college this is meaningless
nah
no way they revoke offer
startups aren't like that
don't do it so they can give it to me
u don't just burn a bridge, be reasonable and let them know u want to wrap school up first
☠️
That’s not the main reason the main reason is it’s some fuck ahh company in Austin Texas working 60 hrs a week
If your entire life is computer science and your job then do it
bruh
another unicorn
modern treasury is fairly valid
i think this is lwk a step down, but ur call
oh fr? LMFAO idk that
wait ur a senior right?
word
oh breh
i thought u were just pickin up leetcode
honestly u will be fine
just take it fall and do school on the side
aight everyone's on the same page
idk abt lc context
u good, just take fall, keep a lighter schedule, make sure u dont burn out
why u putting urself down bro
just go work on yourself, start lifting, taking care of your body
did they explicitly say 9-9-6?
wdym
yea but they know ur an intern probs like 10 hrs of work everyday
but no work on weekends
very manageable
i think 50 hrs a week is what u should expect
dude startups dont give a fuck about this
its called "at will work" literally will be a clause in the contract
i would fade school, lock in on recruiting and make sure to apply to everything on time
i think big thing is
ur self confidence seems low, so i feel like you should prioritize things outside of work to help yourself, just my friendly advice
to each their own ig
good luck gang keep us updated
I am kinda late but heard a guy from UT who worked summer pretty intense work culture like 6 days a week but Austin is a great city
So maybe being in Austin helps you network for full time
No startup (esp at series b) will give equity for interns. That’s an unreasonable ask
I still somewhat disagree, they pay enough that you won’t lose money ($55/hour isn’t bad) and you’ll gain experience that’ll help
But yeah it’s not an easy decision
Can you explain what the real downside is? Worst case they take a semester off of school and learn a bunch before going back? It hurts recruiting slightly but having more experience will help with resume screens and you don’t need THAT much time to recruit for the summer
That’s the best of both worlds, perfect
You get to recruit for the summer and then go work during the spring then straight to a summer internship
They likely only pay for 40 hours a week, no overtime
Will not horrible pay though for an intern. Obv could be slightly better but enough that you’ll save some and then most importantly get good experience
can i pm u abt methodfi process? i just got the recruiter call ;v; @brisk adder
only do fall internship if ur willing to work there full time and want a job there
intern money is insignificant in the long run (not saying it isnt a lot of money)
personally I made the hard decision of rejected tesla fall because I just wanted to enjoy my senior year and be near my friends
and i would take my summer return over it
so i think thats the main consideration
but i didnt read all the messages tbh
