try using jake’s resume template
and bold keywords and metrics in your bullet points
I am (it’s a derivative of Jake’s but same)
I was told it’s cleaner and more readable without bolding tho
maybe I bold just 3-5 metrics total
i mean if human recruiters and hiring managers are reading it. you content might stand out.
you have a lot of good metrics in your projects and experience. make sure you bold them
they are good
dw projects r cracked 😭
idk might be overthinking then
but haven’t gotten a good proc yet, quants fine cuz my gpa is low
but I hope I at least get Wells Fargo or sth
no palantir
yeah idk if I screwed myself, I didn’t target embedded/low level it just happened :/
i don’t rlly care but I just wanna aim for a good tech company
like faang or a unicorn or something
do they screen based on exp like that?
I had zon oa last cycle, 20/20 but never heard back
fair
nah I applied 26
idk prob rng
my resume wasn’t as good
I wanna replace the Avionics project w something else, do you have any ideas or recommendations
no clue, all my projects are embedded/fpga
u def failed the behavioral
How do u even pass it bruh
No way it’s failable
Yo wtf you made novus
How do u know about ts 🥀
Ok then tell me the criteria for passing and failing
Idk how ur not getting first rounds at least icl
What do you mean lol theres some threshold u have to be above
prolly some knockouts asw
u mightve tripped one of those
That’s dumb as hell
Idk what the strat was but when I did I was trying to be consistent in a couple qualities
So my answers weren’t all over the place
? why
Maybe that caused it to score lower in other areas?
The fact that a “behavioral” oa could fail u
The oa itself is dumb
u gotta have slave personality
me too for me i applied jan and had interview in march
So maybe rng but then again ppl were getting offers in April and May
got a terrible interviewer who didn't believe my first internship was legit and spent 40 minutes tryna catch me lying or sum 💀
Bruh tf
late dec wasnt rlly late for zon
That’s actually crazy lmao
True
@sleek path but so do u think I should change anything w my resume
or add a new project
Id do a project but idk what to do
it’s the beginning of the season yall need to trust the process 💀
Need to lock in
i think the bullet points could be more descriptive
ifl a lot of them are quite short and don't tell u that much
i'd add some more metrics asw
i think ur projects are good
i might put the 2nd or 3rd one first tho bc they have real users, seems more impressive
wait also how come u dont have gpa on res
no the behavioral oa is very failable
but all u have to do is pick 2-3 LPs and stick with them
customer obsession needs to be 1
damn i didnt know the method ig
...its bad 💀
i don't see much of a change tbh, i think u could elaborate on some of these points
ex for the log analysis tool u can talk ab jenkins in a separate bullet and what u acc did with it
or like the first nokia bullet-it's super vague
what is a "production ready fix"
the jenkins part was just the "frontend" for the tool
idk, fixes that i pushed to production 💀
how can i be more detailed idk
not much ngl
this is fine but u should at least try to show what u were doing
"production ready fix" is like some shi i would say after adding a two line comment in a repo i know nothing about
ok what i literally did was for example, there were errors showing up in a simulation environment because a class variable had a bad default value. In the sim environment that value was never set, so it showed an error that didn't really mean anything. so it was literally a one line change 💀
like what would u say for that
💀 lemme think
it was stuff like that
like changing some log from "info" level to "debug" level
random shit i did to get used to the codebase
the thing i spent the most time on was the 2nd bullet actually
there u could elaborate on what the log analysis tool acc does
u could say smth like "Optimized the developer workflow for a complex simulation environment by troubleshooting and fixing a persistent core class bug, minimizing noise in system diagnostics"
i'd prolly do smth like that yea
i mean u could tone it down a bit
but to me "contributed improvements and fixes" just sounds rlly lame
u could do smth like "Resolved a recurring error in the simulation environment by fixing misconfigured class variables, helping reduce unnecessary log noise." if u want to tone it down
