way too much whitespace
see if you can quantify more
maybe change your bullets up?
like it seems very technical rn
recruiter won't know what any of it means
add a line explaining in brief what your work is about and compress the rest of the bullets
whole thing
so many lines where they end in the first 30%
change the points
shorten them
too good
add it
idk I'm hoping it is
mines similar
whys that
cooked
if you are outside of T10 then it's hard with the above resume
more experience
id assume internship in big tech
are u a citizen
cooked
think that might be nail in the coffin
cooked with the above resume
are u applying aus
check mine pls
updated one at the bottom
need to update again
but should be fine template for now
us is borderline impossible imo
aus u can do
they'll need to sponsor u
unless ur really good its tough
try to have more experiecne
do you have Tiktok?
if you do, then it carries your resume
oh
swe?
whys that not on
when does it end
u can try for ro from tiktok
and ask for transfer
ahh
why not stay in aus
its good right
tax and shit is so bad
cost of living
america
oh
see what u can do
tiktok is good
how much
is a house
sydney
yea city
big tech intern? possible. big tech ng? little to no chance
0.75 america
yeah
check mine pls ðŸ˜
most big tech dont care about tiktok ngl
what work did you do at tiktok
kinda dictates relevance
generally the skillset isnt all that desirable
thats transferable
just not particularly strong
tiktok isnt really known for any strong skillsets outside like reccomendation engines
if you arent on that team
they generally dgaf
any
cant be a generalist, but if youre working as SDET and your other experience is data science
youre better off targeting mid tier companies and getting specialized in something then going to big tech
getting to big tech as a generalist is rare
cause theyll hire someone with like 5 internships all in the same spot
skill wise
this is the wrong approach to getting in
whys that
you should know what you want to work in and which company fits that
i.e. if you have no interest in product or design, apple is generally not for you unless you want to work in an ai initiative
why google
if you cant answer that with a skillset or focus in mind
wrong choice
i like the products
which ones, why, how do you contribute
would like to contribute
internships are totally possible as a generalist btw
im talking ng rn
internships are a coin toss after screening
any of the agentic stuff they are doing with gemini
i wanna do agentic
better have solid experience if youre an undergrad then
software at companies that arent like pure software based or purse software companies that dont have crazy users
i.e. like cisco for a software example
rokt is a good one
its just enterprise stuff
not cutting edge
not very transferable for the most part
size wise and user wise
its midtech
its also pure software so still stronger than relevant skills at a company that isnt software based
lol
because i bombed a zon interview earlier this year
technical?
yea
do a project that focuses on your area of interest, emphasize relevant skills, network
totally reachable
bro you would die in unicorn/hypergrowth screenings
zon is the easiest faang other than apple for screens
maybe netflix for data roles
I'm sure
that's why I'm not applying to unicorns lmao
I'm not good at dsa
mid or big?
thats fundamentals for any company man, you need to work on it
just done bare minimum
dont need to grind, just work on pattern recognition
neetcode 150
then like 1-2 probs a day and more when you have interviews coming up
most are just medium level lc
maybe a sys design if its a more complex role
mid wise for infra i'd say hashicorp and like cloudfare are good recognition
big tech would be like stripe otherwise aws and google basically
if you can get into snowflake or databricks your career is set
but it is really hard
swe at hft or like qd
I'm doing it I'm doing it
then yeah itll just be more focus on latency and concurrency
all 150?
more than me, mustve gotten some dumb question
reversing nodes in a k group?
even now I'll choke it
