#!process do referrals still help?

so the process I follow is I gather all the recruiters' email from apollo.io, make a list, export that list and bomb all of their inboxes
sometimes Hiring Managers too.
💀
doesn't that only help expedite your process?
im curious how increase my chances to get the OA and then the first interview
Do you do this for a particular job role or like when the market was right?
for example, google posted SDE role, I apply w referral/ without referral. I go to linkedin, search and filter recruiters, apollo extension gets me contacts, I add them in the list and export the list, and let them know that I applied for this role, here is my profile and I am looking for next steps and it works
companies have 100s of recruiters across the states
there’s a slim chance even 10-12 will notice your mail
companies have dedicated recruiters for new grad applications, a lot even assign those recruiters to specific geographic regions or target schools
referrals help if your friends are actually willing to help introduce you to important ppl behind the table, not if they just write your name on a form
ask your friends for their recruiters emails
true
interesting
is it kinda weird to randomly email a recruiter's email tho, when their email isn't really supposed to be that public?
like do you need to explain how you got their email
the bigger the company, the less weird it is
makes sense ig
so I guess what im getting is,
apply with referral (preferable) or without --> then email recruiter letting them know you applied, providing your profile, and asking for next steps
what kind of profile do you provide, your linkedin and resume?
and should you email multiple recruiters at the same company, or just one for each company?
I generally attach my resume and share a link to my personal website and a summary of my work and stuff. Keep it simple and concise coz nobody wanna read 4 paragraphs about a guy they don’t even know.
I emailed around 250 people at google
how'd that go
damn ggs lol
how many of the recruiters responded out of the 250 google emails lol?
so then is getting the interview unrelated to those 250 emails
I mean for google idk, but it worked for all other companies
they won’t necessarily reply, but you’ll be noticed ig
i guess it doest hurt
or it might bc a recruiter might find it annoying ("oh I get 1000000s of emails a day")
idk
some companies it matters a lot some companies not at all
