#!process amazon weird interview (

Round 1: 2 behavioral questions + 30 minutes quiz DSA (every single data structure)
- 1 LC non tagged
Round 2: 2 behavioral questions + Coin change (harder version)
Round 3: full Lp.
i felt like i did LP very well because after 30 minutes he ended the interview saying that he had enough signals from me
- he even stopped me mid of my interview to give me career advices
but because my technical part was not ok so i am not sure
All the best @remote galleon
I'm dying to know more about this quiz
what was the non tagged lc?
from the most basic to advanced
like from list/array -> something rly deep like avl tree
something about finding manager of employees
makes sense, do you know what pattern it was?
bruh
you got this, best of luck!
like linked list 2 pointers stuff but i thought it was a tree
ugh like it looks exactly like lca iii
but i think its more simple than that
like i have been on this lc grind for other companies
so i did like what i did with leetcode
but he also stopped me saying that dont do it like leetcode
bruh what does that mean
i know lol weird ass interview
that's unlucky was it just one of the interviewer who was like this or all?
2nd interview was just normal coding but idk why he gave me harder coin change problem
the first interviewer hes rly senior i think
like 10 YOE
coin change ii?
2nd one i think he doesnt hold as much power as other 2
i think coin change ii or smth idk
but idk expect some weird ass thing from amazon then
nope i dont nothing rn ha ha ha
yea fair
only reason I can think why they would take the quiz would be because of stuff like interview coder
and like when he asked dsa questions they r not like oh what is that its more like time complexity space complexity
why do we use a list for stack but not for queue
what happens when you use a list for queue
so he actually goes deep
“what is avl tree? tell me about self rotation process”
thank god i can answer all of them
but i didnt do coding well
im an intl
makes sense, dw u got this!
😦 thanks!
Like Throne inheritance?
ughhhhh what is that
LC1600
lmao i aint winning
i just want to let people know
that amazon can be weird sometimes with their interview process
have heard alot of people saying that its not that challenging to get in
🙃
oh how did you prepare the LP stuff if you dont mind me asking
i had alot of experiences. there were some stuff kinda cool in my internship
so i just turned them into stories
i didnt study that much for LP mostly improvising. if you actually did the work, then you would always have nice stories. it's just you gotta polish the way you talk about it
did you give mock interviews to practice?
just went through it with a few friends of mine who are product managers
i asked them to fix my responses + listening to me talking for a bit
idk it kinda worked for me.
but i'd say they detect bs pretty quick so just be yourself, and change the way you talk about things a bit
makes sense
Are the LP questions attached to resume experience/projects or general? like do they say tell us about conflict resolution in role X?
I haven’t had many interviews, so might be a naive question
nope not at all a naive question
i'd say in my interview
its more like they ask me questions about my past experiences, without referring anything to the resume, probably they want to test if what i say is the same with what im having on my resume
so again, be yourself and make sure u are at least honest 70%-80% on ur resume
my format question are "tell me about a time when you dive deep" "tell me about a time when you do something out of your responsibilities"
"Tell me about ur fav project"
lol I also got a weird question “if you could master any skill what would it be”
what’d you say?
this was rlly helpful thx
is this interview for sde1?
yea
bro i kinda got similar ques, isnt it like lca of n-ary tree? , if its a list of employees?
was ur interviewer first name abhishek
And the plot thickens
yea
it í
is
I think we can just put a counter if it is greater than or equal to 2(ie if employee found is greater than or equal to 2) return the parent or else pass the child to the top
uhh thats not the solution
