na bro the amount of interviews I have failed I have just given and and decided swe/ml isnt for me
how many?
he has multiple offers, it’s a trap
lol
4/5 faang + 2 big tech equivalent + 1 quant. All final round and all reject cuz I suck at coding
I failed 12 even though I'm good at coding. I've also lost all hope
I thought u had google offer
what feedback did u get from google
that I should switch to business
same
Dw the next company will be the 13th reason why
yeah I don't care anymore
accepted my fate
not even applying
Someone is is deep waters /j
Damn I’m not even getting interviews 💀
maybe just need more lc?
it’s luck
We all are in this together, let’s clutch. I am sure there is someone dumb enough to hire us
If anyone’s struggling landing interviews I advise using apollo.io and just spamming emails to recruiters
It’s not free anymore but it’s worth it imo
1200 credits for free, those any good?
it's $49 a month 💀
100 per month it runs out quick
I sent out 2k emails it got me like 6-7 interviews
but you can spam u don’t send individual emails
wtf 2k is fucking crazy
lol you sent a 2k email. I used to send cold emails, but no response, so I gave up. I also found that our email will be in spame which easily be skipped
I actually manually got the emails from Apollo around 800 and sent it over 6 months, some emails don’t work. Just got one interview that’s all overall.
These are my stats, it's actually 3k not 2k which might seem a lot but it's over 4-5 months period and if you send out 50-100 ish emails on week days it's not a lot of work. It took me half an hour per day to do this.
I personally landed 7 interviews like this so imo it's worth taking some time out of your day to do it if your really struggling with getting interviews
cool, can i DM you to ask the email format
I landed all of my interviews like this
feeling like referrals don’t even work anymore
not to be a dick, but it cant be luck in all 12 interviews
maybe you overestimated your coding skills and need more practice?
or you just trolling
is 800 LCs not enough practice?
number doesn’t mean anything lmao
you def need more & better practice if you did 800 and think number is everything in lc
it’s not skills issue I can gurantee you 🤷♂️
I’m not saying number is everything, I practice everyday and I think I’m doing alright
FYI, I am already working at a small company
good for you
but yeah if you really arent trolling, failing 12 interviews (unless you have other multiple offers) does mean that you are overestimating what you are doing or have a poor way of doing it. Unless all those companies were just some random ones.
you might be right who knows
bro don’t use apollo for sending emails, make a list, add emails, export the csv and use nodemailer
There’s definitely a huge luck factor but if ur persistent with it u’ll get lucky at some point.
The amount on unique interviews I had to take this season was insane. I feel like companies are moving away from lc interviews, I have easily had 20+ coding rounds and only 3 have been lc. Apart from it being unpredictable there’s lot more factors, I have felt extremely good about my performance and still have been rejected out of nowhere
bro I’ve seen people get in with 0 coding skills
Believe it or not luck is heavily involved
yeah but when you are preparing, you dont say I failed due to bad luck (atleast not 12 times)
can always improve somewhere 🙂
that’s the thing I can’t justify my rejections no more, not that I don’t have any offer I do but it’s only natural to think it’s a skill issue, but it’s not. I know there’s always room for improvement and I’m practicing everyday and eventually get there. I’m not saying that I’m coding god and I didn’t make mistakes in my previous interviews but yeah those mistakes were not that significant for rejections. So yeah I might’ve fucked up somewhere but it’s not skill issue fs
Hey man, didn't mean to make you feel bad. Luck definitely is a factor. I was saying it from a different place. My bad for not knowing the whole situation. But I hope you get your dream job soon
no worries bro, you’re def right in your place it’s natural to think it can’t be luck 12 times but I’ve seen people getting FAANG offers who doesn’t even know how to write a basic React Component so the system is rigged
but yeah who knows I’ll eventually make it, until then practice 🙏
have you done mocks?
or ever gotten feedback
yeah and I’ve improved since then, I’ve done mocks
I just suck at interviewing and explaining, sometimes I just struggle with coming up with a solution. It doesnt click and I just freeze and I have no idea whta to do in the interview then
I’m already working and had some offers but was just saying that luck is a part of process
doing mock and daily practice definatley helps here
why even bother the 2025 cycle is done and no company is hiring that I havent interviewed with already
just gonna accumulate the cc debt and go to jail so I get 3 meals a day atleast
I feel like interviewing.io would help you
yeah will do some mocks there for next interview
I’ve heard about that and hello interview for sys design
Or try one there, like prepare like you'd for an actual one and try it there, get some feedback from the faang interviewers and improve
Profit 📈📈📈
Fuck just remembered I have to start learning sys design for new grad interviews
I’ve made friends with my google interviewer so I do the mocks with him when in process 💀
Ah nice then
how tf did that happen
did u just reach out to him on LinkedIn after the interview
he sent me a connection request
my zon interviewer told me she can't share feedback adn to ask recruiter
it was a reject that's why I texted her on li
I have failed google, bloomberg, netapp, siemens and many more.. don't give up guys, we will make it!
