economy so bad u needed to AI generate eggs
font looks fine from what ive seen in other resumes tbh
given I can skim it when sitting 2 feet away from a 13 inch screen if I full screen it
yeah i heard 10-12 is fine but these other resumes ive seen here it looks like they're using 11-12

Is Product Engineer a respectable role if im applying to mainly SWE/DS stuff? Or would my current role being "Software Developer" be better?
idk lmao don't ask the HSer xD
Didn't know ๐
My current work doesn't care about job titles and would easily change it to whatever I want it to be
As long as it's a software role and not like "VP" or something insane
So I can to a certain extent better position the job title if need be but idk how much impact it'd have or what would work best
@safe rover Need your input
font size is fine, the real problem is not enough spacing between sections
use a common template like jakes resume
dont include summary, your resume should speak for itself
also maybe list location: Texas somewhere, bc recruiters always assume that you want a job in the same city that you graduate from for some reason (i have gotten rejected for jobs in other states even tho I told them I'd be fine moving)
Product Engineer is not common for big corporate, its more of a startup thing -> change it to Software Engineer
I'd also try to change Security Specialist
overall bullets are descriptive
you could add more coding skills tho like explicitly say you used Python bc recruiters can be a little slow to pick up on that
also more metrics for the current role
say which AWS services you used in skills
also you merged some of the categories a bit, like put Pandas and Numpy in ML or put vice versa
also you dont have to list soft skills, they are expected
since you are a new graduate, I'd put the education at the top, unless its not a well-known school but i think you said it was?
have you looked at more data engineer roles?
Yeah I always thought that but I've seen some people say summaries work well for some recruiters while others don't care about it so I didn't know what to do
I can list "Location: Texas" even if I live in NJ? Do you think it's okay I remove my phone number for "Location: Texas" because there's no space left in my heading
Done
What would I be able to change it to? The original role was already labeled extremely inaccurately as "Technical Specialist"
i think its an old school thing because recruiters mostly just stalk your linkedin as well these days
i mean its fine if its short
oh lol Security Specialist sounds like a bodyguard or something
just be careful with overinflating too much for the background check
but ig IT specialist is ok? ideal would be Software Engineer again
idk, just change ur linkedin location to Houston, TX at least
and then bring it up in the HR phone screen
agree with โ๏ธ ๐
work looks good
put technical titles though
i will also emphasize no summary
only issues i have is nitpicking format and some wording
i thikn ur resume is good
Waste of space I assume? Or can it even negatively impact the resume?
Any further improvements welcomed
Waste of space
idk what else there is left to do with it now. Resume should be good to go
I think
Done
more line spacing between each section
put the date on the right side
and the company name under the job title
Could this formatting make or break it or it's just visual preference?
uh yes and no?
recruiters look at resumes for on average 6 seconds
if they cant find everything in 6 seconds they will toss your profile in the trash
Brb putting subway surfer gameplay on my resume
yeah throw in a bottle of addys while ur at it
Recruiter is going to be locked in and send the offer letter on the spot
lets be real recruiters only look at your school name and experience names
