Hi @soft lantern, what position was the onsite for? I have mine coming up in a couple of days and would love to dm and hear more about your experience if possible
@orchid viper how was the onsite?
It was tough, lots of sys design but I ended up getting the offer
Ye it was onsite, I had 10 rounds in total lol
Including an oa
2 recruiter calls, 1 hm phone screen, 1 tech phone call, then onsite w 5 onsite rounds
š¤·āāļø
Sum were behavioral
ah fair
But still kinda crazy
how would you recommend preparing for the sys design?
is there any low level stuff?
fair
Honestly it was mostly sys design
Iād def read and practice
Itās building and designing distributed systems most of the time
Hello interview on yt is a good source of practice
ah fair
did you have any prev experience with low level stuff
i do not, kinda concerned
My role was for fullstack so didnāt really need to know a lot of low level
is this for starlink?
ah fair
Itās a subdivision of starship
oh wait is this not new grad?
Itās not a āng roleā title but theyāre paying me like an entry level role lolā¦cuz I graduated in may
I didnāt find it a recruiter reached out to me
Iām pretty sure ng roles have a reproducible process
Not as specific as what I went through
ah ok
From everyone I talked to they donāt ask lc style questions and really focus on system design so if you get really good at that you should be fine, idk tho i was super lucky
Gl dude
If u get the job js know this advice aināt free š
Lol
