What questions did they ask

not too hard tbh

#

1 LC Hard and 1 LC Medium

#

I solved both questions, with a little help from interviewers while debugging

#

yeah, I also don't know why I was rejected :/

#

must've been something in my communication ig

# nimble moat I may have a couple questions for u: 1. Did u resolve the problems in one pass?...
  1. I came up with the approach and wrote the code independantly, but I needed some help to debug the code (pass by reference instead of pass by value for the backtracking qn, <= intead of > for the heap)

It may be that they were looking for at least one perfect round? I'd have thought they'd give me a third round at the very least

  1. Yes, I did all that - communicated step by step from idea to solution, and then explained what I was doing when I coded it out.

  2. Just verbal follow ups since we had like 10 mins remaining in the interview both times, which I answered correctly (Hash join vs merge join for intv1, and (I forgot) for intv2)

So for the first question did u actually figured it out with the help?

#

Also in my interview, all of my follow-ups are additional questions

#

I also needed to code them up

quartz maple
#

yep, it was working code

quartz maple
#

I'd asked both interviewes for expectations regarding the number of questions they wanted to cover
both said one, if there is time remaining they can ask a followup

#

so not sure

The interviewers seemed happy and satisfied with what I gave & said

#

No feedback after the rej; no response to my email :/

#

Yeah man wish u can other chances

#

Maybe they just near wrapping up things so...

#

But don't look down on urself! The questions u solved aren't easy at all, keep up man💪

quartz maple
#

thank you!

#

Yeah I have an offer with Meta, so its not too bad
but really puzzled that this happened to me thrice now

#

Linkedin, Rubrik and Snowflake all rejected me after a "perfect" interview - where I vibed well with interviewers and solved everything correctly and interviewer seemed happy and satisfied

#

forced to conclude that my non-tech skills must be lacking

#

now is the perfect time to practice that ig...

nimble moat
#

I didn't even get an OA 🥲

quartz maple
#

haha, this is for the PE role

#

but I think cold emailing at the correct time really helped for this season

#

sadly I missed the SWE train, so could hop onto the PE one only
