Have applied to roughly 100 positions now and gotten past exactly 3 resume screens. Failed 1 interview and in the process for other 2.

I feel like my resume is cursed. Not sure what more to improve

um could be nitpicking

#

but flip the position and company

#

you want Microsoft to be the first thing recruiter sees

#

also move the numbers to the start of the bullet points and bold those instead of the technologies

#

white space being wasted too, try to merge bullet points if possible

How about the actual content?

education should be first and tbh you have way to much shit on there for msft position. Its just a wall of text i doubt anyone could read it in a decent amount of time, not to mention the rest of your resume as well. I would focus on trimming down that section and if you arent graduated from masters yet put it at the top imo

in terms of the point by avi i think the 3rd bullet point doesnt have to be there, i dont think its doing too much for a recruiter or the ATS

I also don’t know how I’d trim things down really without introducing a bunch of empty white space which is also feedback I’ve gotten

I’m not a new grad I have almost 5 years of experience

#

My 6-7 year old undergraduate research is probably irrelevant, and I’m not doing any research with my masters, it would just be coursework

how many positions have you applied to

you’re applying to internships right? since ur grad date is 2026? if applying to internships or new grad put education first even if you have previous full time experience

#

wait nvm if ur microsoft ft rn is it gt omscs alongside work and ur going for a different full time job?

#

bullets look good tbh might want to put a concepts part on skills so it’s there at a glance for recruiters checking against job post

wait i just looked again, so you have 5 yoe?

#

maybe make the titles all consistent so its easier for a recruiter to see the career progression?
