VO Experience Summary

Round 1 – Bar Raiser
Lasted a full hour with some cross-questioning. This channel had prepped me well for the grilling, so nothing unexpected.
Leadership Principles focused on: Deep Dive, Learn and Be Curious, and Ownership.
Key tip: Know your stories inside-out.

Round 2 – 2 LeetCode Questions
No LPs, straight into coding.

Q1: A medium-level problem (not directly tagged, but a variant of one in the top 50).
It was lengthy, but once the core idea clicked, it was straightforward to implement.
Got two follow-ups – I explained time and space complexities clearly and dry ran the solution.

Q2: Another LC medium, again a variant of the Top 50 question.
Important to recognize it wasn’t a direct application of the standard approach.
I initially proposed an optimal solution, but the interviewer encouraged exploring brute-force ideas too.
After a short discussion, I proceeded to code my original approach.

This round felt minutely shaky due to the second question where it took me some time to understand the solution he was hinting at for discussion, but overall it went smoothly.

Round 3 – LPs + LLD
Easily the most relaxed round. The interview felt more like a collaborative discussion.
Interviewer emphasized that no approach is wrong – they just wanted to see my thought process and reasoning.
They were satisfied with the final design, and we ended with a Q&A session.
