OA: 1st week of january
when was your vo
AWS?
fungible - I'll know about the team after receiving the doc
how were lc and lld ?
Location por favor?
don't want to reveal the question to not doxx myself, but I had one hashmap for 1st round, and sliding window question for 2nd round. I'd say they're easy mediums. For lld I had one of the popular design questions - definitely top 10. I was required to write classes and main functionality, but it was managable amount of code and I tried to make the classes extendable for future changes.
Prep: neetcode + amazon last 30 days (but I didn't do insanely hard ones that were in OA). Design: did 6-7 popular amazon ood questions; For behavioral I prepared stories from my internships and classes/personal projects. I think keeping stories super simple and clear really helped. For example, I talked about how I helped my classmate with the material I knew something like that
Seattle, end of April. I am planning to rent something for the first month and then will see after receiving my paycheck.
fair enough
How did you prep for leetcode do you recommend doing nc150 or just zon tagged?
in which round, did they ask you about lld?
do nc150 first, zon tagged is extension for that. and nc150 will help you be ready in case of unseen patterns from zon tagged
tbh I think I was lucky in terms of leetcode because they are very common questions (string manipulation)
how did you prepare the day before your interview?
I am guessing you didn’t see on the tagged list 😉
Last question did you find most of the main ones on lc discussion @marsh mirage
Design ones yes!
Kept doing leetcode assessment for amazon onsite
Wym by lc assessment
Did you just use the answers you saw in the post or
For answers I googled them separately. For example: https://techmockinterview.com/blog/2022/08/12/logical-and-maintainable-coding-interview-amazon-locker/ https://github.com/donnemartin/system-design-primer/blob/master/solutions/object_oriented_design/parking_lot/parking_lot.py
I had leetcode premium and redid the questions in the assessment section. But tbh you dont need premium to practice them just collect 3-4 questions of different difficulty from the tagged list and try to complete in 2 hours
I think common design questions: library, starbucks, pizza, parking lot, locker management (hint I got one of these questions). I practiced by how to write classes, syntax for abstract classes fast and also practiced the functionality for common problem. I also heard lru cache could be used for follow up questions like when to discard old items and stuff
Also don't ignore lps: I got grilled in the first round with the bar raiser
Which language did you code in?
Wait a bit confused what’s the assessment section?
How many lp stories did you prepare for the interviews?
there's interview section on top of the website. If you click on it, there's an assessment feature
c++
around 10 overall for most popular lps
Do you think that's enough? Were you asked questions that's not prepared?
2-3 questions I did not prepare and had to freestyle on the spot, but if you cover questions that are tagged for each lp I think it's enough. Just think of all cases like classes/courses/internships. Doesn't need to be large scale enterprise level cases. For example, you can talk about conflicts with classmates or how you did not communicate properly. Just think of a situation where you acted your best without harming any party. I also looked up on reddit on how people would answer to a particular question!
Thank you!
updated the answer. ur welcome!
thanks for the detailed help @marsh mirage
Do it again,
Unless you got perf
i got perf on hackerrank
lc premium
did you pass the lc round easily?
